What Is Peter Gutwein Passionate About?

“Like any parent of young children I want to see the brightest future for generations of Tasmanians. I believe all residents of this great State should have access to opportunities which help them to achieve their personal, family and community aspirations. Over the last 3 years of the Hodgman Liberal Government, my colleagues and I have worked tirelessly to get Tasmania back to a financially sustainable position. The focus on fixing our finances now means we can make significant investments in the areas that are most important to Tasmanian’s such as:

-          Improving Educational outcomes and increasing educational opportunities

-          Increasing Health services through record investments

-          Reducing the cost of electricity to households and businesses

-          Investing in Jobs Growth

-          Increasing Apprentice numbers

We are delivering all of these things and more because as a state we have the financial means to allow us to invest in areas that are the most important for Tasmanians.

What am I passionate about? ……. Ensuring we continue to build on our achievements and make Tasmania the most envied and liveable state in Australia.”
