Aird must resign from Ministry

Michael Aird must resign as Treasurer and advise the Premier of his unavailability to serve in Cabinet if Mr Bartlett choses to proceed with his flagged plan to appoint Green ministers.

Last year, Mr Aird said:

“All I can say is I will not be serving in any government that has Nick McKim or Kim Booth or any other Green in it”

Mr Aird’s pledge is clear – it is there in black and white.

He must immediately resign if Green ministers are appointed.
