Shadow Minister for Energy

Expert Study Into Energy Missing in Action
Last year the Government commissioned PriceWaterhouseCoopers to conduct a high-level review of Tasmania's energy businesses, which was expected to be released before the election, but until now the contents have been kept secret.
The new Energy Minister, Bryan Green, must move quickly and release the PriceWaterhouseCoopers expert study into Tasmania's three energy businesses.
The study, commissioned by former Energy Minister, David Llewellyn, reviewed Hydro, Transend and Aurora to see if the businesses could be any more efficient or effective. The study was due to be released before the election, but never surfaced.
Why did Labor choose to keep this study a secret and not release it before the election?
Now that the new Cabinet has been sworn in, Minister Green can release the study and kick off a debate that all Tasmanians can engage in on the role and performance of our energy businesses.
If Minister Green won't release the study, then it is clear that he has something to hide and there is something very troubling in the study.
