Elphin Sports Centre upgrades a key investment in a healthy community

The Elphin Sports Centre is one of the north’s best used and most loved community and sporting facilities.  In fact, it’s a facility that is almost being loved to death.

That’s why the Government is providing $230,000 for urgent upgrades and maintenance.

This investment will give the Centre a new lease on life and help it remain an important part of our community for years to come.

Because we have balanced the budget, we can afford to invest in vital community infrastructure like this.  Right across the State we are supporting investment in sports facilities like the Devonport Golf Club, the Oatlands Swimming Pool, the Dial Regional Sports Complex and Rugby Park.

Investing in facilities like this will help people get out into their communities and be more active, and complements the nearly $77 million we are already spending on preventative health measures.
