Labor in hiding on cable car, White’s small target strategy revealed

Days after releasing draft legislation on the Mt Wellington cable car, Labor has gone into hiding and is refusing to comment.

This is clearly a sign that Labor is looking to join the Greens and doing everything to block the next steps in making a cable car a reality.

Labor’s leader, Rebecca White, has all but gone into hibernation for the winter, refusing to speak to media on a number of important issues, including the cable car.  In fact, this month the wannabe Premier of Tasmania has only spoken to the media twice.  It’s a clear sign that Ms White is adopting a small target approach, because she has no plans, no policies and a weak collection of infighting candidates.

Ms White can’t hide forever.  She needs to explain if she supports the Government’s policies on important issues, like a Mt Wellington cable car and the Government’s proposed takeover of TasWater.
